🔒 Short version: ISSF Coach collects no personal information. All your coaching session data — sessions, attendees, coach profile, TPA details — is stored only on your device. The app has no servers, no accounts, and no tracking. Reports are only transmitted when you tap Email or Share, and they go through your device's own Mail or share sheet.
Information We Collect
ISSF Coach does not collect any personal information. The app operates entirely on-device and stores all user-generated data locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework.
The data you create — coaching sessions, attendee names, topics covered, notes, and your coach profile (name, club, location, TPA Coaching ID, accreditation expiry) — never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it via the in-app email or share action.
Data Stored On Your Device
- Coaching session records: date, time, location, duration, coaching type, skill level, attendee count, attendee names, topics covered, and notes
- Coach profile: name, club, default location, TPA Coaching ID, TPA expiry date, council email address
- App preferences and the last skill-level filter you used in the library
All of the above is stored locally on your device, protected by iOS's sandboxing and device encryption. No data is transmitted to any external server.
Reports You Send
When you tap "Email Report to Coaching Council" or "Share Report" in the Stats tab, ISSF Coach builds a plain-text summary and a CSV attachment using only the data already stored on your device, then hands the resulting message to Apple's standard Mail composer or share sheet.
The recipient address (your coaching council email) and the contents of the report are entirely under your control before sending. ISSF Coach itself does not transmit any data — your device's Mail app or chosen share target performs the actual delivery.
Rule & Coaching Library Content
All ISSF Pistol rule data and coaching tips are bundled within the app at the time of download and install. No content is fetched from a server at runtime. The app functions fully without any network connection.
Third-Party Services
ISSF Coach uses no third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or tracking frameworks. There are no SDKs from Facebook, Google, Firebase, or any other third party embedded in the app.
iCloud Backups
If you enable iCloud backup on your iPhone, your ISSF Coach data (sessions, attendees, coach profile) may be included in those backups as part of standard iOS behaviour. This is controlled entirely by your iCloud settings and not by ISSF Coach.
Data Deletion
You can delete individual coaching sessions from the Sessions list at any time. Deleting the app from your iPhone will permanently remove all stored sessions, attendees, and profile data.
Children's Privacy
ISSF Coach is intended for adult shooting coaches (Sports category). We do not knowingly collect data from children, as the app stores no data externally.
Legal
ISSF is a trademark of the International Shooting Sport Federation. ISSF Coach is an independent companion app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to ISSF, Pistol Australia, or any coaching council. References to "TPA" (e.g. the TPA Coaching ID field) are for compatibility with Australian coach-accreditation workflows only.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this privacy policy in a material way, we will update the "Last updated" date above and note the changes in the App Store release notes.
