🔒 Short version: ISSF Rule Check collects no personal information. All data (your notes and bookmarks) is stored only on your device. The app works entirely offline and has no servers, no accounts, and no tracking of any kind.
Information We Collect
ISSF Rule Check does not collect any personal information. The app operates entirely offline and stores all user-generated data locally on your iPhone or iPad.
The data you create — personal notes, bookmarks, and role preferences — never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it.
Data Stored On Your Device
- Personal notes you add to any discipline
- Discipline bookmarks and role preference (Shooter, Range Officer, or Jury)
- Match profile settings and any custom profiles you create
All of the above is stored locally on your device, protected by iOS's sandboxing and device encryption. No data is transmitted to any external server.
Rule Data
All ISSF rule content, equipment specifications, course of fire data, and timing tables are bundled within the app at the time of download and install. No rule data is fetched from a server at runtime. The app functions fully without any network connection.
Third-Party Services
ISSF Rule Check uses no third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or tracking frameworks. There are no SDKs from Facebook, Google, Firebase, or any other third party embedded in the app.
iCloud Backups
If you enable iCloud backup on your device, your app data (notes, bookmarks, and preferences) may be included in those backups as part of standard iOS/iPadOS behaviour. This is controlled entirely by your iCloud settings and not by ISSF Rule Check.
Data Deletion
You can delete individual notes or reset bookmarks from within the app at any time. Deleting the app from your device will permanently remove all stored data.
Children's Privacy
ISSF Rule Check is intended for users aged 4 and older (Sports category). We do not knowingly collect data from children, as the app stores no data externally.
Legal
ISSF is a trademark of the International Shooting Sport Federation. ISSF Rule Check is an independent reference app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by ISSF or Pistol Australia.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this privacy policy in a material way, we will update the "Last updated" date above and note the changes in the App Store release notes.
