🔒 Short version: Midlife Guide does not collect your data. Your daily check-ins and journal entries are stored only on your device. We operate no servers, use no analytics, and do no ad tracking. Purchases are handled securely by Apple.
Information We Collect
Midlife Guide does not collect any personal information. There are no accounts and no sign-in. Everything you enter into the app — daily check-ins and journal notes — is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any Abdelcaro server.
Data We Store On Your Device
- Your daily check-ins (mood, energy, sleep, wellbeing, symptoms, protein, movement, and notes)
- Your private journal entries
- Your in-app purchase entitlement (whether the Meditation Collection is unlocked)
- App preferences and settings
All of the above is stored locally on your device and is protected by iOS app sandboxing and device encryption.
In-App Purchases
Midlife Guide is a paid app and offers one optional in-app purchase — the Meditation Collection. Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details. Apple manages the transaction and your purchase entitlement; please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchases.
Third-Party Services
Midlife Guide uses no third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or tracking frameworks. There are no SDKs from Facebook, Google, Firebase, or any other third party embedded in the app. The app does not access your location, contacts, HealthKit, camera, or microphone, and does not upload user-generated content.
External Links
The app includes links to trusted external medical and wellness resources. When you tap one of these links, it opens in your browser. Those third-party websites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
iCloud Backups
If you enable iCloud backup on your device, your app data may be included in those backups as part of standard iOS behaviour. This is controlled entirely by your iCloud settings. Midlife Guide does not initiate or control iCloud sync — it only uses local on-device storage.
Data Deletion
You can delete individual journal entries and check-ins at any time within the app. Deleting Midlife Guide from your device permanently removes all locally stored data, including your check-ins and journal.

Midlife Guide is intended for adults. The app does not collect, transmit, or store personal information from users of any age.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and note changes in the App Store release notes.
